Making the Cordial: Combine every components inside a pan, heat until it reaches a gentle boil, stirring so the sugar melts. Next, turn off the burner allowing it to cool completely. Pour into an sealable bottle, close it and refrigerate it in the fridge, it can be stored for up to a month.
To make Cocktail Base: Mix the specified liquids into one large bottle, let it rest for 60 minutes, then filter it best through cheesecloth, so it's completely strained.
For serving: Pour 85ml of the cocktail base to a stirring glass containing ice, gently stirring carefully for one minute to cool it down. Filter into a cold coupe glass or equivalent, top with some cranberries and finish with a quick spritz with the mandarin essence above the glass.
